Comment: [1] Actually there appears to be eagles on all three standards, and piles of shields at the bases.

VALERIAN II (P. Cornelius Licinius Valerianus)

Valerian II was the eldest son of Gallienus and Salonina, and was given the rank of Caesar at the same time as his father's elevation in 253. He died in Illyricum in 255, probably from natural causes.
